Hunger Games (By Suzanne Collins)

Hunger Games By: Suzanne Collins
My first book assignment is the Hunger Games written by Suzanne Collins! The two main characters, Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Mellark, are chosen to participate in this war zone called, “the Hunger Games”. It is a very horrific game, which 12 districts participate in. The districts are a town. There are two tributes from each district to battle to the finish, one boy and one girl. A total of 24 tributes to compete in a blood bath arena. 24 tributes enter the arena, only one leaves alive! It is an epic battle to see who wins, everyone slaughtering and hunting. Katniss and Peeta will need all the courage, strength and intelligence, not just to stay alive, but to win!

The Hunger Games is an amazing book. The writer writes in excruciating detail, every single thing Katniss did. She didn’t just write she went here, and she went there. She wrote as if you were Katniss and everything she saw, smelt, or felt, you saw, smelt, and felt. It actually felt like you were there, just watching from a far. That is how exiting and detailed the book is. Suzanne starts off the book with, when I wake up, the other side of my bed is cold. My fingers stretch out, seeking Prim’s warmth but finding only the rough canvas cover of the mattress. Right there, you just know that this book is going to be awesome and amazing. She writes with great finesse and takes the time to carefully write this book. She makes you want to non-stop reading the book forever, and then go on to the next book, because she makes things exiting. You will fall in love with this book as you start to read it.

  2. Very good job on your first book review. You give great detail and description of the book and don't give any big things away. I like how you use a line from the book in your second paragraph as it really adds to the report and makes me when I was reading this review I felt that you were very much into this book. Great book review!!!
